Danger Mouse, Daniele Luppi - Season's Trees

Grammy awarded music producer Danger Mouse (actually he is Brian Joseph Burton, but probably as he makes some dangerous music to the healty minds, he got this stage name Danger Mouse) and italian composer Danielle Luppi recorded a legendary album Rome, in which american singers Jack White and Nora Jones are starring. The inspiration of such a soundtrack album without a movie was the spagetti westerns like "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" which were filmed in Italy for the law-cost reasons, but always talked about the Wild West. The album was recorded in 5 years, with vintage equipments and the choir Cantori Moderni, which was featured also in "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" reunited for this album. My choice is again a very acoustic track from this album, starring Nora Jones as vocal; Season's Trees.

Enjoy

Every girl gets her dreams
Cast into reality
Never seemed to bother me
Only just recently

'Cause you seem to believe
That we'll never be free
Always gonna be needing
Can't we be
Like the season's trees
Changeably
Just not so easily

All in all we're the same
Jumping through hoops of flames
Sounds fun, what a dangerous game
Pretty picture trapped in frame
But you seem to behave
Like we'll always be slaves
Never running away
Can't we be
Like the season's trees
Changeably
Just not too easily

'Cause you seem to believe
That we'll never be free
Always gonna be needing
Can't we be
Like the season's trees
Changeably
Just not so easily
