Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter, Volcano

Akıllarda yer eden bir film Closer'ın soundtrack'iyle tanımıştık çoğumuz Damien Rice'ı. Gitar, piyano, klarnet ve perküsyon çalma yetilerini bir arada barındıran Damien'ın üflemeli çalgılar hocasının kızına olan aşkını anlattığı The Blower's Daughter, Closer filminin kendisi kadar etkilemişti bir çok seyirciyi. İrlanda'lı şarkıcı-söz yazarı Damien Rice sadece besteleriyle değil, dünyada olup bitene karşı sorumluluk alan bir insan olmasıyla da kendinden söz ettiren bir adammış. Tibet için Şarkılar, Özgürlük Kampanyası, ve Yeter adlı dünyaca ünlü insan hakları projelerinde aktif rol almış olan Damien Rice soğuk kış günümüzü ısıtır diye düşünüyorum. (güney yarım küredeki arkadaşlarımı katmıyorum)

Most of us had met Damien Rice with the soundtrack of that unforgettable movie "Closer". The Blowers Daughter, in which Damien told his love to the daughter of his wind instrument instructor. The singer who could play guitar, piano, clarnet and percussion got to the audience with this spesific song. Irish singer-song writer Damien Rice has shown up on the stage not only with his songs, but also with his responsible being against the human rights and peace in the worldd. He played actively his role in the human rights projects The Song for Tibet, Freedom Campaign and Enough Project. Hope his songs will warm you up in such a cold winter day. (not for my friends from the south-semisphere :) )

Sonra "Kırmızı Pazartesi" diye bir roman vardı Gabriel García Márquez'in kaleminden çıkma. Bir de "Gloomy Sunday" var, Billie Holiday ne güzel söyler...

When I first listened to this song, I had noticed that each day has a color or adjective. the warm sound of the cold northern lands, Anna Ternheim says "Black Sunday Afternoon"; there was a novel called "Red Mondays" (not the original name but the turkish title) written by Gabriel García Márquez ; and there is Gloomy Sunday which Billie Holiday sings soo good...

So, thought it would be a good company if tha war sound of Seweden, Anna Ternheim, sings for us today. Enjoy the rainy day people.

Herkesin herşeyin yolunda olduğunu söylediği vakitlerde, içimize işleyemediğimiz o turuncu ruh haline bakarken, kurtulamadığımız yağmurlarımıza atıfta bulunmuş Travis. "Abicim bu yağmur ne diye hep bana hep bana yağıyor allah aşkına?" demiş :) Bugünün şarkısı biraz erkenci evet. Sakin ama isyankar...Bardaktan boşanırcasına yağmur yağan İstanbul'a ve uyuyamayanlarına gelsin bu şarkı.

Herkese Merhaba,

Biraz yoğun bir dönemdi, biliyorum Günün Şarkısı'nın yokluğunda hepiniz acı çektiniz :) ve bu konuda gerçekten üzgünüm :P Secret, Catherine Pierce ve Allison Pierce hippi kız kardeşler tarafından oluşmuş The Pierces adlı grup tarafından seslendirilmiş. Alabamalı kardeşler, evde eğitim görmüşler, çünkü anne ve babaları da bir hayli hippiymiş. Allison ve Catherine hem profesyonel balerinler, gitar çalıyorlar ve şarkıları hem yazıp hem söylüyorlar.

It's been a busy time, that's why you suffered from the lack of The Song of the Days, I know and I am sorry about it :P So, this song "Secret" performed by two hippi sisters - so called The Pierces. They come from Sweet Alabama :) and they were home-educated as their parents were also hippis! They are both successful ballet dancers, guitar players and song writers and singers! Some people got the talent. Enjoy their hit number Secret with the very interesting video of it.
