NORRDA - Infinite Face

Bugün yine sizi alıp götüreceğini umduğum, biraz Hayyam biraz Şems tadında bi parçamız var :)

Norrda multikültürel - kökleri türk olmakla beraber - dünyanın izlerini taşıyıp kuzey avrupa ve doğunun oryentini aynı potada eritme durumunun hakkını veren, ingilizce bir albüm çıkarmış olan dinlemesi leziz bir grup. Adı İsveçce'de kuzey anlamına gelen "Nor" kelimesinden türeyen grubun perküsyonunda sizlerle daha önce de bir şarkısını paylaşmış olduğum İsveç doğumlu Hakan Vreskala, gitarda ise Deniz Cuylan var. Bu ikilinin yapmış olduğu müziğin üzerine duru bir ingilizceyle büyülü şarkıları seslendiren sesin adı ise Selen Hünerli.

Norrda, besides having turkish roots, has all the multicultural instruments in their music, and succesfully carrying the worlds fingerprints. Especially engaging the north european and orient style. A delicious band which has an englished languaged album. The name of the group is named after the Swedish word "Nor" which means north. The percussion player is Hakan Vreskala - which I shared a lot about him (unfortunateley only in turkish ) guitar player is Deniz Cuylan. The compositions that this two great brain created has found their voice with Selen Hünerli through her pure and magical english vocals.

Vai Vedrai - Cirque du Soleil & Photos of Francesca Woodman

Bugün ülkemde ulusal bir kanalda hamile kadına "estetik değil" dendi. Sokağa çıkmasın dendi. "Kocaman bir göbekle ortalıkta dolaşmasın" dendi. Kadındaki "güzelliği" değil "güzelliği" göremeyenlere gelsin bu parça ve fotoğraflar. Fotoğraflar kendisinin de bizzat modellik yaptığı siyah beyaz kadın portreleri ile bilinen ve 22 yaşında intihar etmiş Amerikan fotoğrafçı Francesca Woodman'a ait. Şarkıyı ise bulamadım kime ait, bilemedim. Bugün günün şarkısı yerine fotoğrafları olsun o halde. Kadın dediğin de şarkı gibi değil mi zaten?

Today in a national tv channel in my country, some unknown object called pregnant woman as "not aesthetic". some unknown object suggested that "pregnants shouldn't be on the streets with such huge bellies" This song is dedicated to the ones that can not see the "beauty" in a woman but a superficial "beauty" instead. And the photos too...Photos are taken by an American photographer Francesca Woodman, who was known with her black and white woman portraits including her self as a model and committed suicide by her 22. And the song; which I couldn't find any information about, won't matter for today. Lets call it the photos of the day instead of the song of the day. Besides, isn't a woman like a song herself?

Güçlü bir kadının sesi Dorothee Pierson, Anita Drake adlı Paris'li grubun solisti. Ve kadın dediğin sesi azcık güçlü çıkacak arkadaş di mi?

A strong woman's voice, Dorothee Pierson, lead singer of the parisian band Anita Drake. To call it a woman, it should have at least a strong voice no?

Radio Pangea sağolsun, bir muhteşem cover daha keşfettik. Kültürlerin füzyonundan çıkma muhteşem bir Radiohead coverı "Karma Police". Thanks to Radio Pangea I discovered another great cover! It's a magnificant fusion of cultures, a Radiohead Cover "Karma Police". A group - from Israil as far as I could tell - Shefita & Sabbaba has made the song magical with signatural mid-notes of orient music of middle east and tailored a great costume for it. Singer Rotem Shefty's own way of interpreting the song and the character that she contributes with is priceless! Enjoy,

St. James Infirmary adlı parça jazz'ın ve blues'un her efsanesi tarafından seslendirilmiş. Louis Armstrong'un efsane sesinden dinlediğimiz ve Mr.Slice tarafından electro-swing haline harmanlanmış "So cold, so sweet, so fair" aslında klipte gördüğümüz neşeden ve swing hallerinden çok uzak anlamlar taşıyor. sabah sabah keyfinizi kaçırmayayım - danslar güzel, swing güzel :)

The song St. James Infirmary was performed by almost all the jazz and blues legends. This version you'll listen is performed by Louis Armstrong but arranged in to electro-swing version by Mr Slice. "So cold, so sweet, so fair" tells actually a far more tragic story rather then the cheerful swingy movements in the video but i'll keep it to my self not to mess with your mood :) Enjoy.
