İlk olarak amerikan blues şarkıcısı Big Mama Thornton tarafından kayda alınan bu parça, orjinalinden üç sene sonra efsane Elvis tarafından seslendirildiğinde, onlarca blues sanatçısı tarafından seslendirilen alternatiflerini gölgede bıraktı. Amerika'da ölümden dönen bir çok insanın ışıklı bir tünelin sonunda kendilerine el sallarken gördüklerini iddia ettikleri Elvis, karatede kara kuşağa sahipmiş ve Amerika dışında sadece Kanada'da konser vermiş. Scatter adındaki bir şempanzeyi evlat edinmiş ve boynunda "teknik bir sorundan dolayı cenneti kıl payı kaçırmak istemiyorum" yazısını ibranice içinde barındıran bir haç taşırmış :) komik adam. This song was first recorded by the american blues singer big Mama Thornton. But three years after that, when it was performed by the rock n roll king Elvis, his version of Hounddog shadowed all the other versions. Elvis Presley, the man who was seen waving hand to the ones close to death (it was claimed by a lot of citizen who were almost dead but survived), had a black belt in Karate and performed only in Canada outside the USA. He adopted a chimpanzee called Scatter and wore a cross around his neck saying “I don’t want to miss out on heaven due to a technicality” :) funny guy. Rest in peace Elvis...
